It was once a peaceful town, until a girl was murdered.
When the remains of a teenage girl are found in the icy cold woods of a small town in Upstate New York, law enforcement agencies are drawn to the mysterious 911 phone call that leads to the discovery of the body. They needed to identify the corpse, but are having a hard time doing so. But when another chilling phone call leads Detective Anne Briggs and her partner, Tom Thomas, to the home of the supposed dead girl and found that she is very much alive, both detectives are mystified. But that was only the beginning of the mysterious disappearances of other teenage girls...
And then fourteen years old Veronica Westaway is found dead in the woods, and all fingers are suddenly pointing back to the very same 911 phone call. Anne is withdrawn from the case mysteriously.
But when the only witness to the crime scene identifies the man who might be responsible for the disappearances of teenage girls in the small Upstate town, it puts Detective Dionne Morris, who is now in charge of the investigation, on the edge. Now, she must fight endlessly to stop a depraved man and also to protect her teenage daughter who is now on the brink of disappearing into thin air.
