Spanish Range

(1951)
A novel by

Revenge was in Blaise Randell's heart when he returned to his home in the San Fernando Valley. Ten years in San Quentin on a false murder charge had steeled his purpose to regain his lost property and drive his enemy, the notorious Leonis, out of the valley.

But ten years was a long time to be away. Blaise's former sweetheart, Melanie, had not waited but had married his neighbour, Mark Davis. Old friends, too, were apathetic. They were not willing to homestead with Blaise and drive Leonis out. In fact, someone really didn't welcome Blaise's return and soon more terrifying warfare broke out on the range. New allies sprang up, and a lovely Easterner was kidnapped in a spectacular scene of gunplay and raid which finally brought about Blaise's vindication.
