September 1986

While Team Spearpoint’s striker, Abilene, is on a routine pizza run into nearby Alexandria LA, she’s overpowered and abducted. Since this is right after completing their
Operation Snakebite mission – with its unpredictably high enemy body count – in the New Orleans area, the most obvious perpetrators are the KGB.

For the past few days Spearpoint’s strikers have been resting and recuperating at their temporary home base, Ponderosa [remote area of England AFB in Louisiana]. Abilene’s seemingly simple errand alone – was a serious breach of security and team leader Honcho should have known better.

Cheyenne still has not been released to return to Team Arrowhead, neither Wichita nor Laramie have been released from their TDYs back to Spearpoint, and the badly injured Durango is presumably still recovering at Medicine Lodge.

When Spearpoint’s 1985 Dodge Caravan is later recovered, a message left by the kidnappers gives the team some vague clues… but it requires the efforts of Raven at Battalion HQ to help Spearpoint figure out where Abilene has been taken and why some captured Russian equipment seems so important.

Someone from Battalion HQ must speed to the site to assist in the recovery of Abilene and assess any related trouble from the kidnappers. Raven insists: “Spearpoint is one of my four rapid response teams… it should be me.”
