This duke's vow: Bring the world to its knees to keep his woman safe.

Life has taught single mother, Abbie Allard, to guard her heart. An army veteran, she volunteered to assist Raptor’s research into PTSD treatments. But when she discovered Raptor’s true motives, she barely escaped with her life.

Now, Abbie is determined to destroy Raptor. Not only did they implant a deadly secret in her head but, they have taken her only child—if they thought this mama lion would hide while her daughter is missing, they were sadly mistaken.

Alone and scared, she reluctantly accepts the help of the only man who has shown her kindness—Thom Fox.

Ex-Special Ops medic, Fox, puts his skill set to good use at Guardsmen Security. He lives his life alone and on the edge of darkness, eschewing his title and land in the English countryside. He’s made peace with the fact his future will be solitary—he has good reason.

But then Abbie upends his orderly world.

Abbie’s always fought alone, but Fox, six-foot-three of tattooed protector, isn’t willing to let her this time. When he learns her daughter is missing, and threats are made against Abbie’s life, he vows to bring them both home safely. But rescuing Abbie and her daughter leads to questions about a research project terminated years ago.

As they dig deeper into Raptor’s web of lies, on a mission that takes them from a city hidden beneath Helsinki, to his ancestral home in the rainy green of England, Abbie and Fox find themselves fighting a fierce attraction.

And, as the net of lies closes around them, will they learn to trust in each other in time to survive and bring the truth to light?
