Judge, Jury, & Executioner
(2026)(The fourth book in the Pax West series)
A novel by Christopher Cartwright
Sixteen years ago, Kimberly Riddle killed her husband.
It was an accident, but no one would have believed the truth. Nor that he deserved to die. And even if they had, no one without a genuine death wish would have tried to help her.
So, Kimberly ran. It was the only way to stay alive.
Now, in the present day, history has repeated itself. It was a different man. In a different city. Yet somehow, she found herself in the same dangerous place. Only this time, she had a daughter and that made running a whole lot harder.
When Pax West arrives in Philadelphia, fresh off a vacation in the Caribbean, and runs into Kimberly, he almost doesn’t recognize the girl he grew up with at the orphanage. One look tells him everything Kimberly’s life has gone from bad to worse since the last time he’d seen her.
She explains her situation and insists there’s nothing he can do to help. Pax tends to agree. Some problems really are insurmountable. Nobody could help her. And anyone who tried would end up dead.
He knows he should walk away.
Only problem is, Pax West has never been the type to let bullies win
Genre: Thriller
