The pugnacious Professor Challenger is approached by his journalist friend Malone with a chilling tale of a dangerous new invention. An eccentric scientist claims to have built a machine capable of disintegrating objects and recreating them elsewhere. Challenger and Malone soon discover that the so-called Disintegration Machine is frighteningly real, and its potential for destruction is immense. So when they learn the inventor has just sold his technology to a foreign government, they must act fast to save the world.
