An Empty-handed Traveller

Izzy Lawson is slowly recovering from a serious car accident and takes a job in her local library where she finds an old diary. Suddenly she is plunged into the past, not only reading about an amateur detective called Underwood, but she finds her head injury has left her with psychic abilities and she sees scenes from the past. In the meantime minor local celebrity Tess Brookes is suffering from writers' block and when fate brings the two women together the ensuing battle for the rights to the Underwood mystery leaves one of them fighting for her life. D I Matt Piper becomes involved when Tess Brookes believes she is being stalked by a disturbed fan, but he quickly realizes he is getting far too close to the victim and it spells danger for them both. Who is trying to kill Tess Brookes and why? Can Matt find out before it is too late to save her?
