Leopoldo was born in Mexico City and came to New York City with some old paintbrushes after attending art school in London and establishing one of Mexico's best-known production companies, Calabazitaz (Tender Squash), with his brother Everardo.
They have since created Casa Bunuel, a writing lab and production company in Mexico City. Living in New York City, his old brushes transformed into a beautiful wife and two fabulous, hell-raising children. He is also now a partner at Curious Pictures, where he pursues a variety of projects as a writer, graphic novelist, director, producer, and composer.

Leopoldo Goût recommends

Humboldt Cut (2026)
Allison Mick
"Allison Mick's novel perfectly captures that eerie sensation of stepping into an ancient forest and realizing you're not merely an intruder - you're trespassing on something awake, sentient, and perhaps hostile. With hypnotic prose mirroring the forest's allure and menace, Mick draws readers deeper into the shadows until turning back is impossible. Humboldt Cut is Mother Nature's answer to Jaws."

Schrader's Chord (2023)
Scott Leeds
"Schrader's Chord delights in the ghoulish and the bizarre. A dark and demonic debut."
