"The Christmas Vampire" is a Christmas-themed horror/paranormal erotica/romance short story (3900 words) containing some adult content, by the author of the Bram Stoker Award-nominated novel WOLF'S TRAP, as well as the novels WOLF'S GAMBIT, WOLF'S BLUFF, WOLF'S EDGE, WOLF'S CUT, and SAVAGE NIGHTS, plus the story collection SHADOWPLAYS, the mini-collection MYSTERIES & MAYHEM (with David Benton), "The Great Belzoni and the Gait of Anubis" (novella), and numerous other works of horror, thriller, crime, and dark fantasy. He has also published a fair amount of nonfiction -- book reviews, articles, and interviews, all helping illuminate his chosen fields. Raised in Genova, Italy, as well as Kenosha, Wisconsin, he now lives and writes in Milwaukee. He is a member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) and the International Thriller Writers (ITW).

"The Christmas Vampire" continues a tradition the author began in 2011, presenting a short tale for the Christmas season. Some are true horror, some are less violent or Young Adult in nature, but all deal with a variation on a classic monster.
