Sheriff Glynn had no particular ax to grind. On the other hand, there was Clant Meldrin sitting in his jail. Clant was just the man who might be able to flush out the ruthless Fairweather gang. Would Clant go along with Glynn's plan? Would he turn traitor on his own kind? It was a chance Glynn had to take. So he turned the killer loose.
