The Murderer's Son

It began with the savage murder of a young man in the Surrey town of Working. Months later, private investigator Frank Crane is sent to the town on a missing person's case, hired by a lonely young woman called Jane Kennedy. But why is his car being followed? Crane realizes that Jane is at risk, but who is out to get her? Why are the police involved and two DCs brutally beaten? Nothing makes any sense until Crane uncovers the appalling truth.
