Cynthia Jefferies has been writing successfully for children for many years as Cindy Jefferies, and has been translated into over a dozen languages. The Outrageous Fortune of Abel Morgan is her first novel for adults.
Cynthia was born in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and her ambition from a young age was to write. She has always been interested in history, particularly the C17th, as well as prehistory. As a child, holidays were often spent visiting castles, cathedrals and museums with her family. She has three siblings, two sons and a daughter, and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, discovering the history of places by walking around towns and cities, the natural world, and the cafe culture of her home town of Stroud.
