Amy Sarig King is an award-winning young adult novelist from Pennsylvania and a faculty member at the Vermont College of Fine Arts writing for children and young adults program. Her recently published young adult novels include “Still Life with Tornado,” which follows a teenaged artist as her family falls apart, and “I Crawl Through It,” a surrealist examination of trauma. Her novel “Ask the Passengers” won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for young adult literature and her novel “Please Ignore Vera Dietz” won the Michael L. Printz Award for books for teens. Her first novel for middle grade readers, “Me and Marvin Gardens” (Arthur A. Levine), involves a boy, a strange animal-like creature that eats plastic and themes of environmentalism, bullying and coming-of-age.
