Being the eldest --- and most responsible --- of three witch sisters makes Patience Harker’s life complicated enough as she fights to keep it in balance between the modern mortal world & the Otherside, where the same city --- only so very magic --- overlaps the other. Unfortunately, neither Harmony --- who certainly does not live so --- nor Constance --- who can change her mind with the shifting of the wind --- are often more hindrance than help, although they had come through at some very critical moments. Still, Patience cannot let herself rely on such inconsistency, especially when the tall, very well-dressed and well-mannered but quite deadly entity, whom she has dubbed Mr. Grim, seeks nothing less than to destroy her. He has come close more than once, and appears determined to try again.
Yet, a monstrous danger threatening to envelop both the mortal world and Otherside --- where her home city also exists, but as a magical realm --- means that Patience will have to step into situations that risks not only her life, but her soul, and force her to consider making a blood deal with her worst enemy.
A deal that might, in the end, very well grant Mr. Grim the dread prize that he has desired from Patience for so long.
