Valerie Kershaw was born in Lancashire and now lives in Suffolk with her husband. They have three grown up children. Shes been a newspaper and radio journalist. Shes published nine novels. Her third The Bank Mangers Wife was adapted for television, her fourth Rockabye won the ٣,000 Lichfield Prize.
