Gillian McDunn is the author of Caterpillar Summer--the story of a girl, her brother, and their unforgettable summer on Gingerbread Island. Caterpillar Summer is her first book and is ideal for kids ages 8-12.

She grew up in Southern California, and has also lived in San Francisco and St. Louis, although she currently calls North Carolina home.
