Phoebe MacLeod

Phoebe MacLeod was a bestselling author of popular romantic comedies. She lived in Kent with her partner and disobedient dog, and had grown-up children. Her love for her home county remains evident in her books, many of which are set in Kent or have a Kentish connection. Before becoming a full-time writer, she spent more than 20 years working in the IT industry, leaving her consultancy career in March 2024 to concentrate on her writing.

Always eager to learn new skills, Phoebe took cookery courses, learned to drive an HGV and qualified to instruct on a Boeing 737 flight simulator. She loved observing people and social interaction, once nearly getting into trouble when a man in a shopping center thought she was staring at him. She also enjoyed curling up with a book and spending time with good food, good wine and good friends - especially when all three came together.
