Rati Mehrotra

India

Writer, traveler, and full-time working Mom. she's looking for a way to clone herself. Or, failing that, get a robot to do all her boring work so she  can write full-time.
Rati's  a bookworm.  A few of her favorite writers are Gene Wolfe, Margaret Atwood, Ursula Le Guin, Philip Pullman, Octavia Butler, Jack Vance, Neil Gaimam, Stephen King, JRR Tolkien, JK Rowling (who cant love Harry Potter?) and yes Jane Austen.

Rati  actually trained as an Economist. And dreamed in equations for several years before realizing she was wasting her time (both asleep and awake who wants to dream in equations?). So she  branched into Environmental Policy, did a stint at the World Conservation Union in Switzerland, and worked in several countries before deciding to make her home in Canada.

Maria Z Medina
"Mistress of Bones is a richly imagined, high stakes fantasy steeped in intrigue, magic, myth, and necromancy. From the memorable cast to the lush worldbuilding, I couldn't put this book down."

The Scarlet Alchemist (2023)
(Scarlet Alchemist!, book 1)
Kylie Lee Baker
"The Scarlet Alchemist is a beautifully crafted and incisively written tale of alchemy, blood, magic, and family that gripped me from the first page to the last. Full of twists I didn't see coming, a wry humor that made me laugh out loud, and a fierce, capable heroine I couldn't help but root for, this book is everything I look for in a fantasy novel. Read it!"
