Geoff Nicholson was born in Sheffield and educated at Essex and Cambridge University. Before becoming a full time writer, he worked as a furniture salesman, bookseller, dustman, security guard, gardener and chef . His novel Street Sleeper was shortlisted for the Yorkshire Post First Work Award and Bleeding London was shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize. He divides his time between Los Angeles and London.
