Rosemary Pollock is the daughter by the writer Ida Pollock and Major HughAlexander Pollock, editor of the book department in the publishing firm ofGeorge Newnes. Before marrying her mother, her father divorced from theChildren's writer Enid Blyton, with whom he had two daughters. Rosemarydidn't have much relation with her half-sisters, Gillian Mary Baverstock(1931-2007) and Imogen Mary Smallwood (1935). Her father died in Malta in1971.
