Tom Paine

Tom Paines newest collection of short stories, A Boys Book of Nervous Breakdowns, will be published by LSU in 2015. His collection, Scar Vegas (Harcourt), was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and a Pen/Hemingway Award finalist. Stories in the collection were published in The New Yorker, Harpers, Playboy, Boston Review, New England Review, Zoetrope, Glimmer Train, and Story, as well as in the award anthologies The O. Henry Awards and The Pushcart Prize. A graduate of Princeton University and the Columbia University MFA program, he is an assistant professor in the MFA program at the University of New Hampshire.
