When two scientists from the East come to New Mexico Territory in search of the legendary Seven Cities of Gold, reputed to be located somewhere among the Pueblos, outlaws get wind of it and decide to cash in. They abduct one of the researchers, but one escapes and makes his way to Plata, where he asks Town Marshal Boone Collins for help. Boone saddles up and heads for the hills on a rescue mission, racing against time as the outlaws begin to think they’re on a wild goose chase and might as well cut their losses, kill the scientist, and make their getaway.
