RUBY -

I’m the club princess. I’m Daddy’s little girl. I’m not scared of anything. Or I wasn’t. I used to be those things. Now I’m just here. Waiting. Not sure for what or who, but I don’t even care enough to go find whatever it is I’m supposed to be looking for. My dad was my whole life, till he wasn’t. And now that he’s awake, it’s worse than when he was dead. Who am I if I don’t even know myself?

KOOPER -

I see her. I didn’t want to at first. She was a job. A means to get something I wanted. But things change, as they often do. I expected aspects of this. I understood there were risks involved when I took the job and signed up for this. But the reward outweighs it all. Till the goal line wasn’t what I wanted anymore. Till I realized that not only did the rules change, but I did too.

I told her dad I would protect her. And I have. She’s still breathing, even if she’s just a shell of herself. I should be okay with that. I was okay with it. But that was before. Before she got under my skin and showed me what waking up with her in my arms could be like. What fighting with her can do to my heart compared to the silence of her never talking to me. She might not like it. I don’t think I like it. But one thing is clear: Ruby is my girl, and I’ll make her see that even if she comes at me kicking and screaming.
