A novel by

Lee Sanders has cause for mistrusting men, after her experience with Gerald Francis, and she is scarcely about to throw herself at the infuriating , temperamental David Barron, for whom she is obliged to work for several months. This, however, is what David suggests on their first meeting, and Lee is worried that this job assignment on the beautiful island of Menorca - attractive as it may have seemed - may land her in even greater trouble than before. As if the challenge posed by this formidable man is not enough, the appearance of a beautiful French woman presents fresh emotional trauma for Lee. Then the past rises up to haunt her, and David - impossible as ever - is determined to expose all.
