Playing God

British Telecom engineer Tom Churchyard is modestly pleased to have been given the role of God in the world famous York mystery plays. The director, Bruce Exelby, casts a notorious pop idol as Christ - which arouses outrage - and when, after a series of potentially dangerous accidents, Exelby is murdered suspicion falls on the cast.
