The Red Carnelian

It's Chicago, 1943. Linell Wynn, working at a department store, is hurt from her affair with Michael Montgomery. World War II is on, and good men are hard to find. Things get worse when he marries a younger employee, and then turns up dead. Everyone at Cunningham's had a motive for killing Michael, particularly Linell. And when another corpse appears in the store, Linell finds that a red carnelian holds the murderer's secret...
