Sean Watkin’s debut crime thriller, Black Water Rising, will be released in 2025 from Canelo publishing.
Sean is an author and internal communications specialist from England. He grew up in Liverpool and studied a BA and an MA in Creative Writing at Liverpool John Moores University, where he began work on his debut novel, a police procedural.
He has been short-listed for the Bristol Short Story Prize, Fresher Writing Prize, and the Book a Break Prize, has guest-lectured with undergraduate and MA Creative Writing students, and teaches writing courses in the community.
He currently lives in Liverpool with his partner and two dogs.
