Originally from Yorkshire, England, Claire Ballentine set off in search of adventure in her early twenties and finally found herself in the beautiful Whitsundays, in North Queensland, Australia.

An avid reader of most genres, her all-time favourites have always been historical romance, with their dreamy settings, witty banter, sexy scenes and happily ever after. After a lifetime of daydreaming about becoming an author, she finally plonked her bum on a chair and started to write … and she has no intention of ever stopping.
