Christine DeSmet is an award-winning writer of novels and feature film screenplays, and teaches fiction and screenwriting at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Christine is a member of Writers Guild of America, East. With a scriptwriting partner she's optioned feature film screenplays and a TV series, and was a past winner of the Slamdance Film Festival contest. Recent film projects include the adaptation of a book of short stories by a Madison, Wisconsin, author. Born in Moline, Illinois, Christine was raised on a farm near Barneveld, Wisconsin, and now lives in Madison.
