Abi Elphinstone grew up in the wilds of Scotland where she spent most of her childhood building dens, hiding in tree houses and scrambling across highland glens. After being coaxed out of her tree house, she studied English at Bristol University and then worked as a teacher in Africa, Berkshire and London.
THE DREAMSNATCHER is her debut children's book and when she's not writing about Moll and Gryff in her writing shed at the bottom of the garden, she's off having adventures around the world: hang-gliding over Rio De Janeiro, abseiling into jungle caves, snowmobiling over Icelandic glaciers, motorbiking through Burma...
Abi keeps a catapult in her handbag and if she could have a daemon, it would be a wildcat with attitude.
