S.C. Grayson writes fantasy and paranormal romance filled with dangerous magic, slow-burn tension, and heroines who refuse to stay in their place. She is the author of several gaslamp fairytale retellings, as well as The Ballan Desert, an epic fantasy romance series set among nomadic clans in a brutal magical desert. Across her worlds, she delights in complicated loyalties, immersive world building, and romances built on emotional connections that still bring the heat.

When she is not sitting in a local coffee shop writing and drinking an iced americano, Grayson is a professor and nurse researcher, focusing her efforts on breast cancer genetics. She lives in Chicago with her loving husband and their two cats, who enjoy contributing to her work by walking across her keyboard at inopportune moments (the cats, not the husband).
