G.D. Higgins was born and raised in Waterford, Ireland. Fascinated with myths, legends and Irish writers as a child, he always dreamed of one day writing the stories that were swilling around in his head. Feeling Waterford was underrepresented in Irish literature, he decided to set his crime novels in his home county, the ancestral birthplace of Raymond Chandler.
When not looking into the abyss of his computer screen, waiting for the next idea to drop, he likes to avoid large crowds, walk in the dark and focus on being a good teacher, father and Monopoly player.
