Bernice L. McFadden is the author of the national bestsellers This Bitter Earth, The Warmest December (shortlisted for the Hurston/Wright Foundation Legacy Award), and Sugar, a Black Caucus of the American Library Association Fiction Honor Book. Bernice L. McFadden also writes racy, humorous fiction under the pseudonym, Geneva Holliday. McFadden was born, raised and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
