Coco Mellors recommends

Workhorse (2025)
Caroline Palmer
"A fierce, funny and unflinching examination of ambition, class and the quiet indignities of being underestimated. You certainly don't need to have worked in fashion to appreciate Palmer's razor-sharp and deliciously wry observations about the industry - but as someone who did, I both adored and applaud her honesty."

Deep Cuts (2024)
Holly Brickley
"Tender as a ballad and pleasurable as a pop song, Deep Cuts is both a romp into the indie sleaze era of the early aughts and a timeless love story."

I Meant It Once (2023)
Kate Doyle
"I Meant It Once explores longing, belonging and the big emotions that can make us feel small with unusual elegance and depth."
