Three Women in Black

An Inspector McKee Mystery. Dr. Gilbert Shane stood alone on a brightly-lighted stage. All eyes were upon him as he joked and laughed. Then: his voice stopped; an expression of surprise crossed his face and his eyes widened. He stood perfectly motionless for a fraction of a second, then lurched violently, fell forward, and lay still. Three women, dressed in black, had been present. Each had little reason to mourn the doctor, plenty of reason to murder him.
