eluki bes shahar, who also wrote as Rosemary Edghill, was an American writer of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, Regency romance and tie-in fiction.
She began publishing work of genre interest in the early 1980s, and her story Hellflower grew into the Butterfly St Cyr sequence, later collected as Butterfly & Hellflower. Under both names she wrote with wit, range and an eye for the odd corners of genre fiction, from space opera and urban fantasy to mysteries and X-Men novels.
She also collaborated with several major writers, including Andre Norton, Mercedes Lackey and Marion Zimmer Bradley.
