The action goes from one crisis to an other with very little time for the reader to take a breath. The books in this series, including this one are a very short read, but it really makes sense. If the first four books were combined, the action and jumping from one event to another and the extreme intricacies of the plots would give the reader overload and make for a less enjoyable experience. I would strongly suggest that the readers start with the first volume in order to enjoy the full development of this series."
