Walk the streets of New Orleans with Detective Mario DeLuca, as he and his friend, Detective Howard Blitz, work together to solve crimes and multiple murders. While holding true to the values of the True Blue police officers, Mario is also trying to come to terms with his own past and what’s causing his night terrors.

Mario works tirelessly to solve a triple homicide that occurred in one of New Orleans’s restaurants. At the same time, he tries to right a wrong that happened years ago when he was only a boy.

His tenacity and unwavering determination are also balanced with kindness and understanding for the people he deals with every day. Mario visits an old neighbor from his youth, and discovers that the fishing camp he went to on Irish Bayou holds a variety of secrets. Reconnecting with his boyhood friend, Mario finds out that there are family repercussions beyond what he imagined.

Mario and Howard are good at their jobs and even better as a team of detectives. They disagree, fight, call each other every name in the book, but they are True Blue partners. And more than that, they are friends.

Friends, partners, buddies, whatever people want to call their relationship; these two have covered for each other for years. Decisions on operating above the law might sometimes cross the line, but one thing is for sure, they always have the interest of the people who pay their salaries—the citizens of New Orleans.

In this action-filled novel, filled with biting dialogue, engaging characters, and the unique city of Orleans, there is joy, sorrow, rage, revenge, love, and hope as this story unfolds to reveal the unexpected.
