Lucienne Boyce

Lucienne Boyce has always been fascinated by the Georgian era. In 2006 she gained an MA in English Literature with the Open University specialising in eighteenth-century fiction. In 2012 she published her first historical novel, "To The Fair Land" (SilverWood Books), an eighteenth-century thriller set in Bristol and the South Seas (which was awarded the Awesome Indies Seal of Approval). Lucienne has been a member of the Historical Novel Society since shortly after its foundation, has contributed numerous articles, reviews and interviews to the Society, and edited the HNS newsletter. Lucienne also writes non-fiction and in 2013 published "The Bristol Suffragettes" (SilverWood Books), a history of the local suffragette movement. She is currently working on the second Dan Foster Mystery. Lucienne was born in Wolverhampton and now lives in Bristol, which is the setting and inspiration for much of her work.
