Brittany Cavallaro recommends

The Echo Room (2018)
Parker Peevyhouse
"The Echo Room is just brilliant. Incandescent writing, wonderful characters, and a plot full of twists and blinding turns. Peevyhouse is a master storyteller."

Little White Lies (2018)
(Debutantes , book 1)
Jennifer Lynn Barnes
"A witty romp of a mystery with a heroine to root for. Little White Lies brings the intrigue and fun of Gossip Girl to the world of debutante balls (bless their hearts!)"

Never-Contented Things (2019)
Sarah Porter
"Sarah Porter is a genius. Her language is lush and dangerous, and her books burn with the beautiful, ferocious intensity of a bonfire in the darkest night. Read Never-Contented Things with the lights on. Then read it again."

The Life and Medieval Times of Kit Sweetly (2020)
Jamie Pacton
"A smart, fun, feminist romp with lots and lots of heart. You'll be cheering for Kit Sweetly all the way on her quest to be seen and heard as she is."

The Initial Insult (2021)
Mindy McGinnis
"Lush, dangerous, and deliciously twisty, The Initial Insult is an Appalachian Gothic for the ages. A smart and vital reworking of one of Poe's most chilling stories."
