Unwary Heart The Paterson family were tired to death of being poor, and none of them more so than Muriel. Muriel, however, had one outstanding advantage - her looks; and her relatives managed to persuade her that she had a duty to cash in on them and, for all their sakes, find a rich husband. Muriel fixed on Andrew Burke as the "lucky man" for her. Unfortunately, however, Andrew got wind of the plot and promised himself he would teach her a lesson. It looked as if all Muriel's clever schemes were going to rebound on her - or did it?

Beyond the Sweet Waters When her fiance Ned died, Jeanette had decided, rightly or wrongly, that she would never marry but keep his memory sacred. But that was four years ago and now Jeanette had met Craig Fleming, fallen in love with him, and was beginning to question the rightness of her decision. But did it matter what she decided? For not only was she having to admit, ruefully, that Craig did not return her love, but it seemed that he was bound to another woman, the lovely Diane, by bonds that could never be unloosed.
