Dan Hanks

Dan Hanks is a writer, editor, and vastly overqualified archaeologist who has lived everywhere from London to Hertfordshire to Manchester to Sydney, which explains the panic in his eyes anytime someone asks 'where are you from?'. Thankfully he is now settled in the rolling green hills of the Peak District with his human family and fluffy sidekicks Indy and Maverick, where he writes books, screenplays and comics.

Dan Hanks recommends
The Redemption of Morgan Bright (2024)
Chris Panatier
"A creepy, beautifully written blend of horror and mystery, unraveling like a documentary into some very messed up supernatural and all-too-human nightmares. You will be easily drawn into the quiet hell of Hollyhock Hall, but I can't promise you'll make it out again."
Earth Retrograde (2023)
(First Planets, book 2)
R W W Greene
"A slice of alternative histy that reads like science-fiction Stephen King. A joy."
Obsidian (2022)
Sarah J Daley
"Full of fun and fresh twists on the usual fantasy fare, with compelling heroes, an engaging plot, sizzling tension, and smart dialogue, Obsidian is a joy."
