Pauline Rowson is an internationally acclaimed author whose crime novels are set against the backdrop of the ever changing sea of the South Coast of England. She is author of the crime series featuring the flawed and rugged Portsmouth copper, DI Andy Horton and the crime novels featuring former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik, now working as an undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad. One of her two standalone crime thrillers, In Cold Daylight, was voted third in an online poll as the most popular read for World Book Day 2008. and she has been short listed for the Dagger in the Library Award. Her crime novels have been hailed in the UK and the USA as "The Best of British Crime Fiction" "action-packed" "gripping," "multi-layered" and "fast-paced." They have been translated into several languages.

Born and raised in the waterfront city of Portsmouth, Pauline Rowson draws her inspiration for her crime novels from the area in which she lives, which is diverse and never without incident. When she isn't writing (which isn't often) she can be found walking the coastal paths looking for a good place to put a body!
