Philip Anthony Smith

Philip Anthony Smith was born in a small hamlet in the United Kingdom called Wigan, in 1989. He is often reminded by his mother that he could read before he went to nursery. She read him a few pages of a simple book when he was a child, and much to her astonishment (and probably horror) he finished it without further help.

Before he discovered the magic of writing, Philip worked a string of seemingly unrelated jobs. If there is a vocation that pays minimum wage and has nothing to do with being an author, he has probably tried it. From a window-cleaner to an SMS psychic, he has a CV thats longer than his books.

But he always had a passion for story-telling…

After the birth of his daughter in 2023, Philip decided that enough was enough. He had a need to unshackle these tales from their captivity, but instead of a screen, he chose this new technology he had heard whispers about; books.

On the discovery of this exciting new phenomenon, Philip set himself to task. He completed writing his first book “Run for your Life“, inspired by his other new pass-time, running up and down the Leeds & Liverpool canal, and released it in April 2024.

That’s it. He was hooked.

Constantly trying to become a better writer, he continued to walk the path he had chosen and two months later at the end of May 2024, he unleashed his second psychological thriller, “The Woman He Left Behind.”

To this day, he continues his writing journey and aspires to be a best-selling author one day. As you read this, he will be lurking somewhere cooking up his next thriller, hoping it will blow your mind.
