Spencer Wise

Spencer Wise is the author of the novel The Emperor of Shoes (HarperCollins, 2018). Born in Boston, he is a graduate of Tufts University and the University of Texas at Austin. His essay “The Second-Worst Rug My Father’s Ever Seen” won Second Place in Narrative’s 2012 Fall Story Contest. Wise teaches at Florida State University and lives in Tallahassee.
