Harriet Reuter Hapgood is a freelance fashion journalist and author of THE SQUARE ROOT OF SUMMER (coming May 2016). Her first-ever professional writing credit was for Just Seventeen magazine, and she's been YA obsessed ever since. She likes burritos, cats, Gwyneth Paltrow and young adult fiction, which she plans to write more of, though she's also considering a PhD in Dawsons Creek.

Harriet Reuter Hapgood recommends

Out of Air (2025)
Rachel Reiss
"Like the ocean, this book is at once both beautiful and terrifying: the romance shimmers, the mystery deepens, the suspense threatens to pull you deep under. A read you won't want to surface from."

The Looking Glass (2018)
Janet McNally
"Much like her ballerina heroine, Janet McNally makes her effervescent writing seem effortless. But there’s grit beneath the glitter of this charming road-trip fairytale. Stock up on highlighters: you’ll want to underline every perfect sentence."
