Readers will prize her amazing legacy as a welcome and crucial addition to the growing collection of historical fiction about unsung Black women's lives."

The Prophet's Wife (2022)
Libbie Grant
"Grant's amazing book, The Prophet's Wife, brings to life a vivid portrait of Emma Smith, and does a beautiful job of bringing readers into her world, her mind, and her heart. This is just the book we have been needing to restore this founder to her rightful historical place."

Carolina Built (2022)
Kianna Alexander
"I'm so thankful Kianna Alexander has magnificently resurrected the life and work of Josephine Leary, an entrepreneurial warrior whose guiding light is needed now more than ever.
