Joseph McRae Palmer

Joseph McRae Palmer writes speculative fiction with a taste for the epic and the unexpected. He’s also a telecom engineer with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from BYU and a lifelong fascination with real-world science, which he weaves into his stories whenever possible. 

Born in Utah and raised in Sitka, Alaska, he spent two years as a missionary in central Mexico. 

He and his wife of 28+ years, Beatriz, have one son, three daughters, and live in northern Utah—where Joseph toggles between engineering projects and dreaming up far-flung futures.
