Isabel Cañas recommends
Murder Road (2024)
Simone St James
"Murder Road serves up the kind of tension that sends chills racing over your skin as you furiously turn the pages, desperate to uncover the secrets of Coldlake Falls. An exhilarating, haunting ride from start to finish."
Island Witch (2024)
"Tense and twisty, Island Witch is a fierce exploration of a young woman's rage and two kinds of demons: the ones that thrive in the darkness of the jungle, yes, but also those that lurk under the skin of people you thought you could trust. This is razor-sharp anticolonial historical horror with the heart of a thriller, and it kept me feverishly turning the pages long into the night."
The Hurricane Wars (2023)
(Hurricane Wars, book 1)
"Ambitious in the scope and cinematic in execution, The Hurricane Wars is a high-octane, high-stakes epic with an irresistible love story at its core. I have no doubt that this confident, vivid debut will capture the imaginations of fantasy readers as it did mine."
