Laurel S Peterson

Laurel S. Peterson is a community college English professor who has written a column for Gannett Suburban Newspapers on local history and serves on the editorial board of the literary journal Inkwell. She has two poetry chapbooks, That’s the Way the Music Sounds (Finishing Line Press) and Talking to the Mirror (Last Automat Press), and a full length collection, Do You Expect Your Art to Answer? (Futurecycle Press). Her poetry collection Daughter of Sky will be released by Futurecyle in 2022. She has also written two mystery novels, Shadow Notes (Woodhall Press 2021) The Fallen (Woodhall Press 2021)and She served as the town of Norwalk, Connecticut’s, Poet Laureate from April 2016 – April 2019.
